The leather used for the production of sole leather is in itself a sustainable material, a waste from the food industry - otherwise destined for disposal - which the tanning industry recovers and transforms into a product with high added value.
The origin of the leather from non-intensive farms who practise cruelty-free slaughtering methods is an indispensable prerequisite.

PO.TE.CO.
The activity of the Consortium also addresses the territory and, in particular, the excellence of technological research applied to the tanning industry, such as the Tanning Technological Pole (PO.TE.CO.).
Established in 2001, the Tanning Technology Center is an avant-garde experimentation center that operates for environmental sustainability. It works to maintain the competitiveness of the district in a sustainable perspective, offering training aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial, managerial and technical-scientific skills.
